Irving Berlin's Music Box

David Manion, Musical Director

(berlin graphic)

An original musical production, loaded with fabulous songs. Cambria's Pewter Plough Playhouse presents the music of Irving Berlin. Come hear more than 40 of Berlin's memorable tunes. Remember Alexander's Ragtime Band? A Pretty Girl is Like a Melody? Easter Parade? God Bless America? White Christmas? How many more can you remember? Irving Berlin's Music Box is an original musical production, written and directed by Jim Buckley.

The show interweaves reminiscences about Irving Berlin's long life with his incredible number of song hits. The cast of our popular 2005 musical tribute to George and Ira Gershwin returns to continue our holiday celebration of the composers of America's Popular Song Book.

Starring Wayne Attoe, Laurelle Barnett, Jim Buckley, Jim Conroy, Viv Goff, and David Manion, under the great musical direction of David Manion.

Special New Year's Eve Gala

We will present a very special diverse evening of entertainment on Sunday, December 31, combining our "Berlin" musical show on our main stage, a sumptuous buffet in the Pewter Plough Cafe, champagne, desserts, party favors and fabulous cabaret music in the PPP Cafe. All this in the tradition of our New Years Eve shows of recent years.

The "Berlin" musical starts in our theatre at 8 pm, followed by our Broadway Buffet of hot and cold delectables at 10:30 pm in the PPP Cafe. Enjoy Korbel Champagne, desserts, noise makers, hats and all attendant froth.

Our Cabaret Jazz duo of "David and Delilah" perform pop, jazz and Broadway classics in the intimacy of the PPP CAFE from 10:30pm 'til 1:30am. This is Delilah's (Delilah Shank) debut at the PPP, a very talented singer with a strong vocal ability and wide repertoire. She has performed extensively as a solo cabaret artist, vocal coach and singer/actress in many productions, including SLO Little Theatre's recent "The Full Monty". David is the consummate entertainer, who amazes with his incredible piano versatility and 'whiskey toned' voice. Members of the "Berlin" cast and surprise performers will join in on the stand
