Become a Member of the Pewter Plough Playhouse

Jim Buckley has helped to ensure the continuation of this robust play-producing organization by having it transformed into a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation that we — members of the community — are operating. Jim is continuing in his role as artistic director.

Our plans for the future include:

The Pewter Plough is now, more than ever, your community theatre. Whether you are already a patron supporting our productions or someone new beginning to enjoy these enriching events, we now invite you to become more personally involved. We invite you to become a vital part of our family as a Member of the Pewter Plough.

Your membership will help support our productions and plans for the future. Virtually every nonprofit performing arts center in the country depends on sponsors and donors in addition to ticket sales in order to survive and thrive. Our ability to continue to produce quality theatre will depend, in large part, on the generosity of our members. Fully tax-deductible annual memberships are $25, $50, $100, $250, and $500. We will acknowledge contributions of $25 or more in play programs of the 2005 season.

As mentioned above, we have replaced our chairs — the unique movie-director-type chairs built especially for the Pewter Plough. While they have served us well over almost 30 years, we have heard the occasional complaints about their comfort. The new chairs continue to pay tribute to 61 of the greatest stars of the Golden Age of the American Theatre. As a new feature, you can sponsor a chair for a tax-deductible donation of $1,000, with a nameplate on your designated chair (for 10 years, subject to renewal).
