"Lovers" tells the story of Barney Cashman, a married man in his 40's who has heard of the "sexual revolution" taking place around him. He is now making attempts to join it by having casual relationships with three women. His efforts to see what "all the excitement is about" are hilarious and poignant.
Richard Bennett returns to the Pewter Plough to direct this show. Some of his previous productions include Moon For The Misbegotten, I Ought To Be In Pictures and Blithe Spirit. The play features David Norum as Barney, with Diane Steele, Julia Edson and Lori Cunningham as the women he would like to get to know better.
